Hello, my name is José Luis Valdez, owner and founder of Paleterías Tropicana.18 years ago, my family and I started a dream in the historic Westside. We opened our first location offering a unique product, 100% natural, Michoacan style.
Thanks to the support of the community, the local businesses, but above all, thanks to you, we were able to continue with our dreams.
Today we have five locations, soon we'll open a new one, and we'll continue working to be closer to you. In addition, we operate our own factory. This is where we make your favorite ice creams and popsicles with the highest quality controls to guarantee its freshness and flavor.
And thanks to you, this year marks 18 years of doing what we are most passionate about and continue making quality products. That is why we have decided to give a modern and fresh touch to our name. We have merged two words, Paleterías Tropicana, in a single unique and original word: Palacana.
On behalf of our Palacana family, we want to thank you for these first 18 years, but above all, thank you for your support and preference We'll continue working to always offer you the best.

Hola, mi nombre es Jose Luis Valdez, dueño y fundador de Paleterías Tropicana. Hace 18 años mi familia y yo comenzamos este sueño en el histórico Westside. Abrimos nuestra primera locación ofreciendo un concepto único de helados artesanales estilo Michoacán.
Gracias al apoyo de la comunidad, los negocios locales, pero sobre todo gracias a ti, pudimos seguir con nuestro sueño.
Hoy contamos con 5 locaciones, ubicadas en Kansas City, Kansas, Kansas City Missouri, Olathe Kansas, Independence Missouri, Wichita Kansas y próximamente abriremos nuestra próxima locación. Además, contamos con nuestra propia fábrica. Aquí es en donde elaboramos tus helados y paletas favoritas con los controles de calidad más altos para garantizar su frescura y calidad.
